Marshall Nursing & Rehabilitation, an Atrium Centers facility, has an immediate full time opportunity for an energetic, highly motivated professional in a position that combines Social Services with Marketing and Admissions.  Qualified candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively with medical personnel, community organizations, facility staff, residents and their families.  Must be able to recognize and resolve problem utilizing all available information in a confidential and professional manner. 


Key responsibilities include providing necessary assistance in the pre-admission and admission process, discharge and care planning, as well as completion of MDS and related assessments.  Position provides psychosocial support to residents and their families, while fostering resident’s ability to accept and utilize care to their maximum benefit.  Working knowledge of nursing home regulations, including MDS procedures, and reimbursement and eligibility guidelines under Medicare and Medicaid.  Admissions and marketing duties include direct sales to healthcare and other professionals, networking with local civic and community organizations, analyzing and responding to market trends, developing and implementing marketing plans, building family and community relationships.


Candidates, at minimum, must have a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and one year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting – preferably with the psychosocial aspects of the elderly. and 2-3 years of experience.  Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare and the Pre-Admission Review requirements is essential.  Sales experience in senior housing/health care; ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; ability to travel within the local market; and a drive to succeed.  Prior long term care experience and strong sales background are definite pluses for this position.
