    REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer


    The Controller directs, manages and maintains the accounting and financials records of the organization. The primary duties include timely and accurate preparation of interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, use by internal management, external banking and other institutional reporting.


    The Controller is responsible for recruiting, managing and leading the accounting department staff, and the staff continued development and training. The Controller maintains the company’s accounting practices and ensure compliance with its internal control system. The position is primary point and coordinates with external auditors, leading institutions, and other regulatory audits.


    The Company’s Controller manages and the following accounting functions & tasks:

    • Payroll – Preparation of Weekly Payroll, Reports, Filing of Payroll Tax Reports, Management Information
    • Accounts Payable – Vendor Payments, Managing Vendors Payments to Terms, Related Reports, Management Information
    • General Accounting – General Ledger, Financial Statement, Audit, Bank Reconciliations, Inter-Company Reconciliations, Policy & Procedure Maintenance & Development, Management Information, Credit Line and Cash Managment
    • Patient/ Accounting /Accounts Receivable – Billing, Business Office Training, Collections, Management Information, Regulatory Audit Information, Patient Record Maintenance


    Other responsibilities include seeing that company policy is carried out or complied with, assisting other departments in forecasting personnel and financial needs, accelerating cash receipts and controlling disbursements, overseeing bank balances, maintaining lines of credit and banking relationships, recommending investment vehicles (and coordinating cash needs with investments), establishing and maintaining credit and collection procedures, controlling profit-sharing records, and evaluating and implementing computerized accounting systems.

    The Controller will have a degree in Accounting and CPA Prefferred

    S/he will ideally have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) for a complex for-profit with multiple funding sources including government (federal and state) contracts and an affiliate structure with diverse program areas delivered nationally.


    The CAO will have the following experience and attributes:


    A minimum of a BS; a CPA and/or MBA

      • At least five years experience as Controller or equivalent
      • Significant experience in or knowledge of accounting, compliance, and reporting.
      • Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
